Beyoncé's Halloween Costume Was '80s Magic

by Summer Arlexis

Beyoncé continuously slays our lives and it's not even fair anymore. Showing up the competition this past Halloweekend, she dressed up in an '80s getup that will make you drop right into an, "ooh, baby, baby!" Beyoncé and Blue Ivy channeled Salt-N-Pepa for Halloween, re-creating their iconic "Push It" video look, and it was beyond spot on.

When Queen Bey gets into character, you know she's pulling out all of the stops. She didn't hold back this year when she attended her cousin Angie Beyince’s '80s and '90s themed birthday party. Blue Ivy and Tina Knowles got in on the action, and the trio took to Instagram to document their moment as the legendary rap duo and their DJ Spinderella. And don't think for a second that hubby, Jay-Z, didn't get into formation with the family costume. He nailed a Dwayne Wayne from A Different World costume to match Bey and Blue's '80s flair.

At this point, killer couple costumes are standard in this star-studded family. When Jay and Bey dressed up as the Coming to America cast and included Blue last year, they nearly sent the internet into a frenzy. So it's no surprise that the Carters outdid themselves by giving the world a major '80s flashback. Capturing the full look from every angle, Bey posted a video montage to her Instagram for fans to swoon over. Be prepared to want to dress up like Jay-Z and Beyoncé for Halloween, because they are seriously couple costume goals.

The jackets, that red and white jumpsuits, the gilded high-tops— it was all too perfect. Bey paid attention to every little detail, from the asymmetrical bob to the giant bamboo earrings. Seriously, it's like looking at the rap queens themselves. Sandra ‘Pepa’ Denton and Deidra "DJ Spinderella" Roper even thought so, taking to Twitter to give the Knowles women their stamp of approval:

Jay-Z nailed it, too, dressing as a seriously accurate Dwayne Wayne from A Different World:

In a classic rope chain and the signature round, Dwayne flip-up sunglasses, Jay-Z was the perfect '80s arm candy for Beyoncé. How can one family be so on point? And with baby Blue at their side, this family will probably take the crown for best costumes every year.
