J. Hud Says Another Duet With Ariana Could Happen

by Kristie Rohwedder

If Hairspray Live’s finale number knocked the bobby socks off your feet and the Bumpit out of your hair last Wednesday evening, you better hold onto your bouffant: one half of the powerhouse duo who sang "Come So Far (Got So Far To Go)" recently said she thinks this pairing will happen again. Yes, there could be more Jennifer Hudson and Ariana Grande collaboration magic in the future. Now, before you get too caught up in the the J. Hud/Ari G. duet dream, know that nothing is set in stone, et cetera. It's just a thing that is possible.

In a recent interview with E! News, Hudson talked about performing alongside Grande during Hairspray Live , singing (oops, pun intended) the "Into You" pop star's praises. When Marc Malkin asked if she'd ever record another track with Grande, the Sing star replied, “You know what, cause we fell in love with each other, so I think that will definitely happen. I cannot wait. Again, it’s one of my favorite duets I’ve ever recorded, and I love her.”

I think that will definitely happen. Again, I know it's not, like, an official announcement or whatever, but ohmygoshIhopethishappens.

Sing music producer Harvey Mason Jr. added, “I think your voices go really well together...You really complement her and I think she really complements you. And the ad-libs at the end!”

Those ad-libs at the end of "Come So Far (Got So Far To Go)" are the opposite of a joke. The ad-libs at the end of "Come So Far (Got So Far To Go)" mean business. The ad-libs at the end of "Come So Far (Got So Far To Go)" are in it to win it.

Hudson's on board. Your move, Grande.
