She's Got One Less Problem Without Biebs

Ariana Grande can do no wrong when it comes to music, especially when she joins forces with other singers. "The Way" with Mac Miller was an instant hit. When she teamed up with Iggy Azalea on "Problem," it hands down became the song of the summer. Well, until her latest single "Bang Bang" came along with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj. Oh, and "Break Free" with Zedd is equally amazing. Long story short, Grande is the queen of duets. But someone who won't be singing with her any time soon? Justin Bieber. Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber's duet won't be on her latest album and, according to her, it's because they never had a chance to finish it. Grande told the Associated Press, "I had to focus on my stuff and he was focusing on his, and it just sort of didn’t really get done."

Unlike all of the Arianators and Beliebers out there who are probably disappointed, I think this is for the best. She's got one less problem not hanging around with Bieber. Even when news first broke that they were in the studio together a few months ago, Bustle rounded up a list of much better options for a Grande duet. Because of course, he would only drag her down.

It seems like interesting timing to announce that he won't be on her album, though, doesn't it? Given the whole Justin Bieber and Orlando Bloom fight (aka all anyone is talking about), it probably wouldn't be best for Ari to hang out with a low-life like the Biebs. I'm taking this as a sign she's #TeamOrlando. She's admitted to being a Lord of the Rings fan in the past, so I think we can all guess where her loyalty lies. (With Legolas, of course!)

Still, this doesn't mean they've ruled out the duet forever. She told AP it'll happen eventually, saying, "We feel like we owe it to our fans to do something one day. We will finish it and put it out one day, but it just wasn’t the right time." Riiight, "one day." In other words, it probably won't happen any time soon... or maybe ever. At least not when he's acting like such a doofus.
