Admit it! On at least one occasion, you may have wondered to yourself whether Tom Hiddleston is single. Based on a past Bustle post, it appears as though the Thor actor isn't seeing anyone right now. But if he were, what would he look for in a partner? Unsurprisingly, the self-proclaimed feminist is a big fan of strong women. It's as if the more he describes what he looks for, the more he proves that he truly seems like a perfect gentleman. In the 2014 issue of Elle U.K., Tom Hiddleston admits he admires intelligence, saying, "I believe in the strength and intelligence and sensitivity of women." Excellent answer.
Adding more adjectives to this list, Hiddleston explained what traits he finds attractive in a January 2013 interview with Total Film magazine. He used his Thor character as a frame of reference:
The strangely admirable thing about Loki is that he doesn't give a damn what anyone else thinks. I've always found that quality really sexy in women. Self-possession. Quiet confidence. An acceptance of difference. A certain... mischief. A sense that things could be a little "exciting." I think I should stop there!
OK, so far, he's into self-confident women who aren't afraid to be different. These are all great answers. When asked what he finds sexy in another interview, he responded, "I guess the sexiest thing in the world is when I meet someone and they seem like they are themselves. You know, be yourself."
Based on this new intel, there must be plenty of fish in the sea for this Marvel actor. Considering his buddy Benedict Cumberbatch is recently engaged, he very well may need a date to that wedding. So I've decided to do him a favor and round-up some potential matches.
Taylor Swift
I know, I know. She’s doing that whole “Clean” thing where she’s not seeing anyone. Maybe, though, these two could bond over their feminist beliefs. Plus, she finally has freed herself from being defined by other people — she’s really come into her own. He may seem a bit old for Tay, but Hiddleston is 33 (aka the same age as her ex Jake Gyllenhaal). So that’s not too much of an age gap.
Sophia Bush
Just like Hiddleston, she's an awesome activist. Bush is a strong female, who's undeniably intelligent. I'm pretty sure she's currently single, based on some digging around. In August, there were rumors she was dating her Chicago PD co-star Jesse Soffer, but there wasn't any confirmation. So if she is romantically available, I think these two would have plenty to talk about on a first date!
Katy Perry
This one may seem like a wildcard, but Katy Perry definitely is a strong woman who isn't afraid to different and confident. Hiddleston would be a way better match than Riff-Raff (sorry to say!), and I could see these two making a pretty cute couple. Since she has a tendency to date guys who are jerks, this would be a major upgrade.
Well, that was fun to play matchmaker! I guess we'll have to wait and see who he winds up with next. Based on his undeniable charm, something tells me he won't stay single for too long.
