What Would A J. Law & T. Swift Song Be About?

by Tracy Dye

Along with being a bonafide hit-maker, Taylor Swift has proven herself to be a master at making friends with pretty much every famous person in existence. The "Bad Blood" singer's ever-growing squad of BFFs includes everyone from Ed Sheeran, to Karlie Kloss, and it's only a matter of time before President Barack Obama hops on board. As I anxiously await my own BFF invite from Swift (that will probably never happen *sobs for days*), I feel compelled to reflect on one A-lister who is arguably one of the best friends Swift has ever made. I'm speaking, of course, about Jennifer Lawrence. Lawrence and Swift's friendship was spurred back in 2014 when the Hunger Games actress hilariously photobombed Swift. Since then, they have enjoyed a girls' night at Swift's apartment, and are even text buddies! While attending Comic-Con 2015, Lawrence offered her blonde buddy accolades during an interview with Extra. She stated that she had contacted Swift after the singer published an open letter where she refused to make her music available to Apple Streaming. "Taylor Swift is a badass," Lawrence said. "That letter she wrote about Apple...I texted her and was like, 'You is a badass b***h.' She's awesome."

Not only are both ladies pretty badass — if I do say so myself — their assertiveness and tenacity aren't the only things they have in common. Lawrence may spend a majority of her time on the big screen with spoken dialogue, but we learned from Mockingjay Part 1 that the actress also has a pretty impressive set of pipes when she nailed the hit song, "The Hanging Tree." Clearly this means only one thing: the time has come for Lawrence and Swift to make a song together. The reasons that such a phenomenal duet should come to fruition are vast, but what would the song be about? I have a few ideas...

Cher

I think the above video is all the evidence you need.

Work Spouses

Swift has gone on tour with her best guy pal, Ed Sheeran, and the relationship between Lawrence and her work spouse, Bradley Cooper, continues to top our lists of #FriendshipGoals. The two could put out a different kind of love song that centers on the importance of friendship. It could be titled "'When Harry Met Sally' Was Wrong About Men & Women Not Being Able To Be Friends," or something a lot shorter and more creative.

The Pressures Of Fame

Both ladies spend a large amount of time in the public eye, so I'm sure there would be plenty of stories to tell via song.

Things You Should Never Say To A Cat Person

Both of these ladies love cats and they aren't afraid to show it! Can you imagine how adorable the music video for that song would be? I just did, and I officially want said video to happen ASAP.

Dancing

If you've seen Silver Linings Playbook and/or any awards show Swift happens to attend, you know that both these ladies like to get down.

The Highs & Lows Of Dating

Let's face it: dating isn't easy. As one who has spent a good detail of time assuaging my romantic woes with Swift ballads and Lawrence films, I think both ladies could rock a lovelorn track.

Pizza

Both Lawrence and Swift have spoken about how much they enjoy noshing (who doesn't?!), and I personally feel there are not nearly enough songs centered on the glory that is pizza. Also, I'm a little hungry right now, which may be influencing this idea.
