11 Of The Best Looks From The 'EW' Comic-Con Party
In addition to all the killer cosplay, fandom madness (Did you see those Game of Thrones auditions? How about that new trailer for Doctor Who Season 9?), and overall nerd-glory, San Diego Comic-Con has become quite the host for brightly-dressed celebrities. After all, in keeping with the bonanza's comic book roots, the aesthetic's got a fun-loving twist to it, often accompanied with some nice nods to the genre — a la Maisie Williams' comic book ball gown decoupage number from last year, or Karen Gillan's Ka-Pow! sweater from 2011. Anyway, it's no secret that Entertainment Weekly's annual Comic-Con bash has quickly become home to some of the best looks of the weekend. All of your favorite actors from all of your favorite shows come together to celebrate the collective fandom, and they're usually dressed to the nines.
This year's party saw everyone from the aforementioned Maisie Williams, dressed in summery pale green silk (looking much different than her GoT character), to Keke Palmer (in attendance to help promote Ryan Murphy's freshman drama, Scream Queens) in an absolutely killer superhero-inspired purple jumpsuit. Suffice it to say, it was quite the delightfully well-dressed soiree — so let's take a look at some of the best ensembles of the evening!
1. Maisie Williams
Maisie's got some admirable fashion game (and she sure knows how to work a cut-out).
Plus, bonus John Bradley-West (because Samwell Tarly is the best):
2. Emma Roberts
Sometimes, there's no better combination than a Victorian ghost-esque dress paired with a vampy lip (and even vampier shoes).
3. Keke Palmer
Seriously, she looks about ready to go full vigilante on us in the best way possible.
4. Sarah Paulson
Now that's what you call volume.
5. Lily James
After a killer Cinderella press tour, Lily James went for something a touch more sultry to promote her upcoming film Pride and Prejudice and Zombies .
6. Bella Heathcote
Also in attendance to promote Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (she plays Jane Bennet), Bella Heathcote wore some delicately balletic Gucci.
7. Jennifer Morrison
The Once Upon a Time actress went floral in this retro tea-length number.
8. Lana Parilla
Lana Parilla, on the other hand, stayed true to her villainous roots in this sheer black frock.
9. Alicia Vikander
Alicia Vikander showed off her enviable tan in easy, breezy Rosetta Getty.
10. Ashley Madekwe
Gloriously Studio 60-esque.
11. Felicia Day
Felicia here definitely won in the most eye-popping clutch category. I mean:
What was your favorite look of the evening? Personally, I'm torn between Bella Heathcote's ultra-ethereal ensemble and Keke Palmer's name-taking bodycon jumpsuit.
