Another huge name in pop music has Taylor Swift's back. On Monday, Kesha tweeted Swift support regarding her trial involving radio host David Mueller. Kesha's post shows she is very much on the 27-year-old singer's side. ".@taylorswift13 i support you always, and especially right now and admire your strength and fearlessness." Kesha continued, "truth is always the answer."

For those who haven't been following the trial, it all started several years ago. Swift alleges Mueller groped her on June 2, 2013 while they were taking a photograph before her concert in Denver, Colorado. Mueller has denied this, and in September 2015, he filed a lawsuit claiming Swift's accusations were false and led to him getting fired from his job at KYGO. As reported by the Chicago Tribune, according to court documents, Mueller's job cited "the morality clause in his contract" for his firing because they believed he changed his story regarding the alleged incident. In October 2015, Swift filed a countersuit against Mueller and accused him of assault and battery, according to BBC News.

On Thursday, Aug. 10, Swift testified in front of an eight-member jury, where she stood by her allegations against Mueller. On Friday, Aug. 11, a judge dismissed Swift as a defendant in Mueller's lawsuit filed against her. However, even though she is no longer a defendant, the trial continues due to Swift's claim of sexual assault against Mueller and because two other defendants remain on Mueller's claim.

Like Swift, the "Learn To Let Go" musician knows what it's like to not only fight your legal battles publicly, but to also come forward with a sexual assault allegation. In October 2014, Kesha sued producer Dr. Luke over sexual assault allegations. Dr. Luke has adamantly denied Kesha's claims. The case currently continues in New York, and includes Kesha trying to get out of her recording contract and Dr. Luke claiming Kesha breached her contract and defamed him, according to Rolling Stone. Last August, Kesha dropped a case against Dr. Luke in California.

None of this has been easy for the "Praying" singer, which she's discussed openly and even more so since the release of her newly released album, Rainbow. She has learned to let go of her past, as the 30-year-old revealed in a July essay she wrote for the Huffington Post. Kesha isn't one to stay silent and is hoping to help others in the process. As she wrote for Lenny Letter in July, "I have realized through this long journey of ups and downs that if I'm lucky enough to have a voice that people listen to, then I should use it for good and for truth." She also wrote, "Finding the strength to come forward about these things is not easy, but I want to help others who are going through tough times."

That certainly appears to be what she's doing for Swift, and the support goes both ways. The "Shake It Off" singer donated $250,000 to Kesha in February 2016 after a New York judged denied Kesha a court injunction that would have allowed her to record new music outside of Dr. Luke's Kemosabe Records. "In a show of support, Taylor Swift has donated $250,000 to Kesha to help with any of her financial needs during this trying time," a spokesperson for Swift said in a statement at the time (via Rolling Stone).

These two supporting each other is nothing new. It remains clear that they have each other's backs and will unite during the most difficult of times.
