Trump + The NFL

Whether you're a football fan or not, chances are that you heard a thing or two about the NFL this weekend. To recap, Trump called Colin Kaepernick a "son of a bitch" for kneeling during the national anthem which led to widespread outrage, including from athletes like LeBron James. As a result, many players decided to take the knee in solidarity on Sunday, which, naturally, has led to Trump freaking out even more on Twitter.

Facepalm: In other great Trump-related news, it turns out Jared Kushner used a private email account for government business. Say hypocrite in one, two, three...

North Korea + What To Know

Well, this isn't terrifying at all. Ri Young Ho, the Foreign Minister of North Korea, said on Monday that the U.S. has made a declaration of war against North Korea, and that the Asian country has the right to shoot down American planes. And yes, this is largely because Trump can't stop himself from tweeting whatever's on his mind, not to mention his comments at the UN General Assembly.

Listen Up: On Sunday night, Trump signed a new travel ban order that majorly limits travel into the U.S. by citizens of Chad, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Syria, Venezuela and Yemen. As of now, the order will remain in effect indefinitely.

Pretty Little Liars + A Spinoff

Attention, PLL superfans: this is not a drill. A Pretty Little Liars spinoff is coming, and you're going to be obsessed. The show, called The Perfectionists, is based off of Sara Shepard's other popular book series, and PLL faves Sasha Pieterse (aka Alison) and Janel Parrish (aka Mona) will reprise their beloved roles. Get ready for more murder, gossip, and badass female characters.

Amazon + Fast Food

This could be major, you guys. Amazon delivery might soon include fast food, and brands like Chipotle, Five Guys, Coldstone, and Shake Shack could be on the list. In other words, you might be able to get the best cheeseburgers and ice cream around delivered right to your door. Not everything's confirmed just yet, though, but if this happens, it'll be seriously game-changing.

New Word Alert: A Twitter user has coined the word "hepeated," meaning "for when a woman suggests an idea and it's ignored, but then a guy says same thing and everyone loves it." Sounds about right.

Books To Read + Women Of Color

If you're trying to add to your reading list, look no further. The National Book Foundation has released its annual "5 Under 35" list for new authors, and what's so cool about this year's picks is that they're all women. Even cooler? Three out of the five are women of color. These talented writers deserve to be celebrated, so check out the list above to see what books you need to read ASAP.
