During the series finale of Pretty Little Liars, the show tackled those major questions fans have been wondering for quite some time. Spoilers ahead for Pretty Little Liars series finale. Not only was A.D.'s identity finally exposed, but the father of Ali and Emily's babies was revealed as well — but nope, they're not the same person. It turns out that Wren is the father and the secret comes out thanks to A.D. — aka Spencer's twin Alex Drake.

It turns out that Alex, Mary Drake, and Wren are all on the same A team and worked together on a plot to avenge Charlotte's death — until Alex turned on them both, that is. While the Liars are getting ready for Aria's wedding, Alex, who's impersonating Spencer at this point, is holding one of Emison's twins and drops the paternity bomb we were all waiting for. (Yes, Emison had twin girls!)

A.D. holds the crying baby, looks in the mirror, and makes a comment about the child looking just like her dad — aka Wren. It's mind-boggling, for sure. However, given the fact that Wren was a doctor (or at least pretended to be one), this also makes sense that they were able to pull off such an awful stunt.

As a quick refresher, Emily tried to donate her eggs years ago to get some extra cash. A.D. robbed the egg bank, stealing Emily's eggs, and later had them implanted in Alison. This plan isn't revealed until much later, when Ali explains she's pregnant and tests reveal that Emily is the mother. Up until now, it was unclear who exactly was the dad.

It's a major jaw-dropper, and the situation is undeniably invasive. Not that it makes it any better, but at least there's a little less confusion surrounding the whole ordeal.
