Arguably the biggest moment of The Real Housewives of New York City's exhilarating ninth season happened not while the cameras rolled, but days before the finale aired: On Aug. 3, the Countess announced that she and Tom D’Agostino were no more. As far updates regarding Luann de Lesseps’s divorce go, there have been some intriguing developments over the last few weeks. Rumors about a fresh engagement, a visit to the recording studio, and a run-in at a party— de Lesseps and D’Agostino’s split has it all.

The “Chic C’est la Vie” singer told People earlier this month that her breakup “has been one of the toughest times of my life.” She continued, “I have a sense of failure, and I hate to fail. I wake up at night, and my bed feels empty now that he’s gone.” Yes, their seven-month marriage was fraught from the jump, but that doesn't make Lu's heartbreak any less heartbreaking.

But being the resilient person that she is, Lu's soldiering on. On Sept. 12, RHONY star Kelly Bensimon assured Us Weekly that de Lesseps is "doing really great.” The jelly bean queen continued, “I mean she is such a trooper and I know that she was madly in love with him and sometimes things don’t work out and I admire her for having all the courage to break away from it.”

All things considered, the Countess really does seem to be doing well. In the weeks following her divorce filing, she’s dominated the dance floor with RuPaul, taken an enviable trip to Switzerland, and spent quality time with her family. Oh, and she seemingly made her triumphant return to the music world, too. Last Thursday, the Countess posted an Instagram video that was taken while she was in a recording studio. In the caption, she wrote, “wait to [sic] you see what's coming.” Assuming she’s not pulling our legs — our Lu would never! — it looks like she’s making her first song since 2015’s “Girl Code.” Chic c'est la Lu.

D’Agostino’s been keeping busy, too. Well, the gossip about D'Agostino has been keeping busy, that is. Shortly after he provided a statement about the divorce to E! News, a new and wild rumor surfaced: Lu’s ex-beau was allegedly engaged again. And not just allegedly engaged, but allegedly engaged to Anna Rothschild. Lu’s frenemy had been spotted around town with D’Agostino and wearing a diamond ring that could sink a small rowboat if it so desired. Zoinks.

But in classic RHONY style, Rothschild reached out to the cast’s beloved paper of record to shut down the story. She told Page Six that the engagement rumors are untrue, adding,

“We’re best friends for 15 years. I adore Tom. I would love to marry Tom because he’s such a great guy, but it’s bad timing for both of us.”

And as for the 22-carat diamond that’s set up camp on her finger? She said, “I’m not saying who it was.” Well, OK then!

Last week, a source told Us Weekly that the exes apparently wound up at the same party last Thursday night. According to Us Weekly, this was the first time de Lesseps and D'Agostino have attended the same event since their split.

Us Weekly's source said,

"Neither of them were on dates, just there with friends. Tom and Luann said hello and kissed each other on the cheek, and then both went to separate sides of the party. They did not hang out again for the rest of the night. They were civil, but not trying to spend the entire night together."

Yes, despite everything that’s currently going on between them, D'Agostino and de Lesseps reportedly remained polite while they were in the same room. Hey, what else would you expect from the artist behind “Money Can’t Buy You Class”?

In summary: Lu is living life and making music, D’Agostino is not engaged to someone else, and their divorce is still under way.
