After months of back and forth, hacked Instagram accounts, and sad Snapchat stories, Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna have allegedly ended things. People confirmed that the engaged pair have called it quits and after keeping it under wraps, they are finally letting others know. If the news is true, it's not the first time the couple has split. So what happened during this separation that made them end things for good? Why did Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna break up? (Reps for Kardashian and Chyna could not be reached by Bustle at the time of publication.)

“They split a while ago. The wedding plans are off,” an insider source claimed to People. “They are both trying to be mature about it. It was less dramatic this time.”

The pair made their relationship public in January 2016, and since then have been candid about their complicated, and at times contentious, relationship. Most of which aired on their E! show, Rob & Chyna. Initially, outsiders were skeptical of the couple given that Chyna's son is also the son of Kylie Jenner's boyfriend, Tyga. Plus, Chyna is close with Amber Rose, Kanye West's ex-girlfriend. Regardless, in April 2016, Kardashian proposed to Chyna, and in November of that same year, they welcomed their daughter Dream into the world.

Following Dream's birth, the couple went through a few tumultuous fights that were made pretty public on both of their social media accounts. Kardashian claimed that Chyna took their daughter and left him. But after a two day split, the couple reportedly got back together. (Before that, it was reported that they broke up in September. And before that, they allegedly broke up in March. A pattern has definitely been established.)

Every time they split, the reasons aren't clear. They've cited negative attention from the media, personal issues, weight, alleged depression, etc. But as mentioned earlier, it's definitely complicated. This most recent split doesn't appear to be any different, except that as People noted, the two are trying to be less dramatic about the situation. If that's the case, we probably won't be privy to any more incriminating social media posts.

A source claimed to Us Weekly that "Rob thinks it's the right decision and that "Chyna has disappeared for days at a time without communicating or providing any updates. This won't end well." Another insider added, "[Its the same] with her yelling and screaming about how his family doesn’t like or support her, and his insecurities."

As anyone who watches Rob & Chyna can attest, things are often dramatic between these two, so it's tough to believe they'll break this cycle. That being said, the real idiosyncrasies of their relationship will never be revealed to the public fully, since we cannot always see what goes on behind closed doors or when the cameras are off. Regardless, if this is the end end, let's hope it's an amicable one.
