Screw It, Kristina Should Be The Next Bachelor

There is so much chatter about who is going to be the next Bachelor star these days, but there really isn't a perfect candidate from the most recent season of The Bachelorette or even from Bachelor in Paradise. But, there are a lot of viable women from the franchise to be the Bachelorette instead. Sure, it's become tradition to go from The Bachelor to The Bachelorette to Bachelor in Paradise, but why not change it up? It would make so much sense to just skip the next Bachelor season and air a season of The Bachelorette with Kristina Schulman in the lead role.

When discussing whether the next Bachelor had been chosen in a July interview with Entertainment Tonight, host Chris Harrison explained that they were waiting to see if anyone stands out during Season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise.

"Nick [Viall] popped out of Paradise if you remember, we didn't see that coming. We weren't planning on it and then it happened. I think, lesson learned, we're going to wait and just watch it all play out," Chris said.

Who is the one person who really stands out on BiP? Who every fan is rooting for? Kristina Schulman.

There are plenty of reasons why a Bachelorette season with Kristina is the best next move for the franchise. It's time we skip the Bachelor.

1. She Has A Compelling Story

Kristina is a Russian orphan who was adopted by a loving family in Kentucky. She has discussed her time in the orphanage on both Season 21 of The Bachelor and Season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise. With a whole season centered around her, she would have the opportunity to share even more about her life.

2. She's Had Heartache On TV

Kristina was upset that she was the last one eliminated before the hometown dates with Nick Viall on The Bachelorette. Then, Dean Unglert played her and Danielle Lombard in a messy love triangle on BiP. She's had her heart smashed on reality TV and has cried her eyes out on both shows. It is the perfect jump off point for a comeback on her own Bachelorette season.

3. She Is Easy To Root For

Everyone loves Kristina. She is well-rounded, kind, and just truly lovable. She is someone who deserves to find love and who everyone would love supporting for a whole season.

4. She Is Serious About Finding Love

Kristina actually does seem to be on these shows "for the right reasons." She has made it clear that she is ready for a serious relationship, and she hasn't done anything that makes it seem like she's trying to get screen time just for the sake of it.

5. She Is Well-Spoken

Without even trying, Kristina says the most interesting and unique things. For instance, everyone fell in love with Kristina on Nick's season when she described moving to America as "living life in color." She's quotable, but also knows exactly the way to get her point across and that's important when leading a show.

6. She Never Got A Hometown Date

Fans still haven't gotten to see Kristina on her own turf or meet her family. Being the Bachelorette would allow viewers to see more of who she is as person, since she got cut just before the hometown dates on Nick's season.

7. She Has Great Fashion Sense

If there's another season of The Bachelor, it will be episode after episode of suits and ties. If The Bachelorette was up next, there would be endless outfit, hair, and makeup options to keep the fashion-savvy fans captivated.

8. She Is The Lead Who Makes The Most Sense

There are so many names floating around when it comes to who could lead The Bachelor, but they just don't make the most sense like the Bachelors of the past. Peter Kraus is hesitant about proposing in such a short period of time as shown on The Bachelorette, Dean ruined his shot with his BiP antics, Wells Adams doesn't seem into the idea and may be with Danielle M. now (plus, Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss tweeted that the next Bachelor isn't from JoJo Fletcher's season), Ben Higgins isn't ready to date again, and fans don't want a Nick Viall take two. There is a major reason to cross out every one of those people, but if the lead spot is just open to someone from the franchise in general, instead of just a male candidate, it is so obvious that Kristina is the best fit of them all.
