Amanda Chan is the Vice President of Content Strategy at Bustle Digital Group, where she heads content and editorial strategy for the BDG portfolios of Lifestyle (Bustle, NYLON, Elite Daily, and The Zoe Report), Parenting (Romper, Scary Mommy, Fatherly, and The Dad), and Culture & Innovation (Inverse, Input, Mic, and Gawker).
Amanda previously led Bustle as Managing Editor, where she oversaw the site’s Fashion & Beauty, Lifestyle, News & Politics, Books, and Entertainment teams and content. Before joining BDG, Amanda held leadership positions at other digital lifestyle, entertainment, health & wellness, and news publications, including roles as Digital Deputy Editor at Teen Vogue, Deputy Editor at Yahoo Health, and Managing Editor of Healthy Living at HuffPost. Her bylines have also appeared in Real Simple, MSNBC, LiveScience, The Arizona Republic, The Charlotte Observer, and more.
Amanda earned her master’s degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and bachelor’s degree from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, where she was Editor-in-Chief of ASU's independent daily student newspaper, The State Press.
When Amanda isn’t playing volleyball or marathoning the latest and greatest show, she's on the hunt for new restaurants and wishing she had a dog.
