Another Major Hint At A 'Gilmore Girls' Revival

Attention, Gilmore Girls fans: There's some news that you may need to sit down for. Seriously, I'm not sure if your heart will be able to handle the excitement standing up. No, this isn't about those vintage, shirtless Milo Ventimiglia photos (which totally exist, by the way). Instead, Keiko Agena, who played Lane Kim, may have confirmed the Gilmore Girls revival news with a single Instagram. Agena shared a picture of her alongside Helen Pai with the follow caption:

With the REAL LIFE Lane Kim, Helen Pai. :) Good things are coming...

Do you know what this full-circle moment means? Here's some necessary background info: Pai is a longtime friend of Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino. She's also the inspiration for the beloved character of Lane. Like Lane, Pai grew up in an Adventist household with a strict mother. While people are quick to debate which boy Rory belonged with (Dean? Logan? Jess?) or obsess over her close relationship with Lorelai, the show would be nothing without Lane. She's the edgy, yet loyal best friend that every girl needs. And if you want a piece of trivia that will blow any GG fan's mind: Lane's band's name Hep Alien is an anagram for "Helen Pai."

Not only is Pai a close friend of Sherman-Palladino, but she was also a producer on the show. That means that by hanging out with Agena, Pai adds even more fuel to the Gilmore Girls revival rumors. What else could the phrase "good things are coming" mean? I don't need to consult the Gilmore fan dictionary to know the subtext of that. It's pretty clear they're working together again, right?

Personally, this is all the evidence I need to head to the nearest diner and have a celebratory cup of coffee (or five). Although Warner Bros. and Netflix have yet to officially confirm to the revival news, there has been a spotting of the Gilmore Girls set on the company's TV lot. If that's not a huge hint, I don't know what is. Oy, with the poodles already! Can't they just do fans a favor and confirm it?

While I impatiently await a more definitive answer, I'll be re-watching Lane's best moments from the show. Because seriously, everybody could use a BFF like that.
