The Most Surprising Part Of The Halftime Show

Leading up to this year's Super Bowl halftime show, there were plenty of questions. Would there be any surprise guests? Would Left Shark reprise his role? Would Beyoncé going to surprise everybody and bring out her Destiny's Child co-stars, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams? There were even murmurs on Twitter that Lady Gaga would take the stage again after performing the National Anthem to do a rendition of "Telephone" with Queen Bey. And what about that pregnancy announcement? Well, guess what? If you were expecting any of the above, you probably were pretty disappointed. The most shocking part of the halftime show was that there weren't any shocking parts. Mind-blowing, huh?

Sure, the performance featuring Coldplay, Bruno Mars, and Beyoncé was beautifully done. With a group of kids playing instruments to a Bruno vs. Bey dance-off, it was certainly a sight to see. There were colors everywhere and upbeat music abound. Plus, Beyoncé performed "Formation," her recently released single. She even brought out the backup dancers from the video. Those components combined made for a memorable halftime performance.

Despite the fact that there weren't any special guests, this performance honestly didn't need any. In typical Beyoncé fashion, it was totally **FLAWLESS as is.

Now, excuse me while I go try and figure out how to get Formation tour tickets ASAP.
