16 Things 'GoT' Season 7 Needs To Include

by Lindsey Kupfer

Can you believe we have to wait almost a year for the premiere of Game of Thrones Season 7? To make matters even worse, the showrunners have confirmed that GoT ’s final seasons will be shorter than the ones of the past, so that means fans don't even have that many episodes to look forward to. It seems crazy, considering there’s still so much going on and two major battles — one between Cersei and Deanerys for the throne, and another between everyone and the White Walkers — that need to take place before the series finale. How are we supposed to fit all that drama in two short seasons? I’m not prepared for the end of this show, but in the meantime, I need to speculate about what’s coming next, because there are a lot of things that need to happen in Game of Thrones Season 7.

As you'll recall, so much went down in the Season 6 finale. The North rallied behind Jon Snow, naming him the King of The North. Meanwhile, Bran’s visions confirmed that Jon is the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen. Dany and Tyrion made their friendship official when she named him Hand of The Queen. Cersei blew up all her enemies in one swoop, but forgot to watch her son, who jumped out a window when he realized his wife was dead. Arya Stark murdered Walder Frey after baking his sons into a pie he was eating. Finally, Cersei was crowned Queen and Jaime showed up, looking as distraught as it gets. Basically, everything happened — but what can fans expect to see in Season 7? Here are my hopes.

1. Jaime Kills Cersei

According to the prophecy, Cersei will outlive her three children and become the queen, but a younger, prettiest woman will take that all away and she will die at the hands of her brother. This needs to happen, especially the part about Jaime. He killed the Mad King, and now it's time to take down the Mad Queen.

2. Jon Needs To Find Out Who He Really Is

Now that viewers finally have confirmation that Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen are Jon's parents, it's time for Jon himself to finally learn the truth about his identity.

3. A Stark Reunion

Bran has to go to Winterfell to tell Jon who he is, and their siblings are already nearby. It's time for a big family reunion for the remaining Stark kids, especially since Arya is now so close.

4. Arya Needs To Finish Her List

Arguably the most satisfying part of the Season 6 finale was when Arya murdered Walder Frey. She's finally checking some names off that kill list and I'm pretty much cool with all of them .. Except The Hound. She needs to not kill him.

5. Littlefinger’s Death

...And Sansa needs to be the one who kills him.

6. Lady Mormont Needs A Bigger Role

She's brilliant and awesome. She should rule everything, or at least get more screentime next season.

7. More Flashbacks

Now that Bran is the Three-Eyed Raven, we need more plot twists that come from flashbacks. Despite knowing that it was coming, the R + L = J revelation was pretty awesome and it would be great to see more stuff like that.

8. Sam Finding The Key To Killing The White Walkers

Alright Sam, you’ve got an entire library to figure this out. Let’s be useful, for once.

9. A Blackfish Return

We didn’t see his death, you guys. Many people think he’s still alive, and hopefully he still has some type of army. He needs to join the North in the fight against the White Walkers.

10. Tormund & Brienne Make Out Sesh

I think fans can all agree that we’re shipping Tormund and Brienne.

11. Dany Putting Cersei In Her Place

I would love to see Cersei try to stand up to Dany and her dragons. Dany would kill her in a war of words.

12. A Cure For Jorah

Poor Jorah is turning to stone because of that whole greyscale situation. Can we remedy this, please?

13. More Daario Naharis

Despite being sent away, Daario needs to still have a part in the next season. He’s too attractive to completely cut out.

14. The Sand Snakes & Olenna Tyrell Form An Alliance With Dany

Everyone on the list above wants to get Cersei off the throne. That means it’s time for Olenna and the Sand Snakes to meet up with Dany and join her team in the fight.

15. Euron Greyjoy’s Death

#TeamYara.

16. Dany Takes The Iron Throne

We will probably have to wait till Season 8 for this, but I had to add it to the list. She deserves to be the one on the throne. The end.

Game of Thrones Season 7 can't come soon enough.
