The Bustle Huddle: What Bustle's Editors Are Talking About On Dec. 15

You've made it to the end of the week, everyone! Well, almost. Thursday might not quite be the weekend, but hey, it's close enough. After a week that included horrific violence, the death of a beloved TV star, and Donald Trump yelling at Vanity Fair, I think we could all use a headstart on getting our relaxation on, don't you think?

Before you switch completely into weekend mode, though, catch up on all the news and events that had Bustle's editors talking today, Dec. 15.

Donald Trump + Vanity Fair

Oh, Donald. The president-elect has always had a hard time ignoring critical articles about him, and the latest one, a hilariously negative Vanity Fair review of his restaurant Trump Grill, got him so fired up that he — of course — took to Twitter to voice his complaints about the magazine. Naturally, many people have had fun sharing the article and criticizing Trump Grill, but many others are wondering why Trump isn't tweeting about some more important issues, like what's going on in Aleppo.

EgyptAir Update: Back in May, an EgyptAir flight crashed in the Mediterranean, presumably killing all 66 people on-board. Now, the Egyptian Civil Aviation Ministry has announced that they've found traces of explosives on the victims, reinforcing the idea that terrorism could've been involved in bringing down the plane. Hopefully, more answers will be found in the days to come.

Narcissism + Your Dating Life

Admit it, you've done it — regardless of all the warning bells that've gone off in your head (or your friends' warnings to you) — you've dated a total jerk at some point or another. In the newest episode of Bustle's Love, Factually, psychologist Alice Sohn explains the science behind why we're all drawn to narcissists, even if we should know better. Watch it before your next first date.

Quiz Time: Love nothing more than a good old-fashioned Christmas song? Then you'll enjoy taking this quiz, which determines which cheesy holiday song are you. Here's hoping it's not "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer."

Trans People + Employment

In the latest episode of Bustle's NSFWomen video series, several transgender people explain why it can be so hard for them to get work. 29 percent of transgender Americans live in poverty — it's time for a serious change to be made, and the stories of the people interviewed in this episode will move you to take action, perhaps by donating to the ACLU.

Behind-The-Scenes: "It was an eye-opening experience to realize how many things are out of our control while working on this episode of NSFWomen," says Bianca Consunji, Bustle's Director or Video. "Many states don't adequately provide enough support for the LGBTQ+ community, so many trans people experience discrimination with nowhere to turn. But the subjects we worked with dealt with their situations with grace and humor, and it was inspiring to watch in real life."
