All The Unforgettable Moments We'll Miss From 2014
As far as the entertainment world goes, 2014 was a pretty unforgettable year. Some really sad stuff happened, like the unexpected deaths of Robin Williams and Joan Rivers, but a lot of truly wonderful things happened, too. And unfortunately, they aren't things we get to relive. Sure, there will be other celebrity pregnancies, but what could possibly compare to finding out that Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are a couple in real life, and then also seeing them bring a baby into the world? I can't imagine what could top that. And, although there is definitely plenty to look forward to in 2015, there are certain things I'm going to miss about 2014. Because it was awesome.
Honestly, let's face it: nothing — and I truly mean nothing — will ever be as spectacular to me as seeing Justin Bieber's mugshot for the first time. This is something you can never do twice. And we need to savor moments like these.
These are the events that 2014 will always be remembered for, long after 2015 brings its own exciting times — like when Kate Middleton welcomes her second royal baby and after we get the final installment of The Hunger Games.
So Many Shows Ended
Hugely popular, long running, widely loved TV shows, and it hurts to think I'll never see a new episode of these shows again in 2015. How I Met Your Mother, especially, because that ending was so terrible that I'm still unable to forgive Carter Bays and Craig Thomas. Also over in 2014: Sons of Anarchy, The Colbert Report, Chelsea Lately, True Blood, and Boardwalk Empire.
And So Many Epic Weddings
Guys, there will never be another Kimye wedding. That means no more wedding-themed, highly mockable Vogue covers of Kim Kardashian wearing white. And that's not the only unforgettable wedding that happened, either. George Clooney unexpectedly tied the knot with Amal Alamuddin, and Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finally got married, the latter wearing what was absolutely the most creative and amazing wedding dress ever.
Taylor Swift Dropped Her Best Album Yet
Although I don't think people should've been surprised as they were that Swift made the transition to pop, it's clear that that's where she belongs. 1989 is incredible, so it is it any wonder it was all anybody could talk about for a month solid after it came out? I still have "Wildest Dreams" on repeat, and I'm not even tired of hearing "Blank Space" on the radio yet.
The Solange/Jay-Z Elevator Drama
Was it an actual fight? Was it for publicity? The scandal that went down at the Met Gala is still shrouded in mystery, even six months later, and for that, it's going to live in infamy. Personally, I think it was to drum up excitement for Beyoncé and Jay-Z's On The Run Tour, and it definitely worked. I still can't get over the fact that it happened.
Duggar Weddings
I'm heartbroken that we cannot relive Jill and Jessa's weddings. Not only were they gorgeous, but Jill and Jessa are my two favorite Duggars (besides Jackson, because he's adorable). Chances are good neither of them will ever get married again. The good news? 2015 brings Jill's baby!
