Looks Like Katy Perry & John Mayer Are Back On

While it's the start of a new year, it seems like nothing has changed for some celebrities. I'm talking about Katy Perry and John Mayer's recent reunion. While it's been 11 months since they broke up, these two have been hanging out a lot lately — sparking rumors that they may be back together. Last weekend, Perry and Mayer reunited at a friend's dinner party, where they were reportedly "super friendly" with one another. Still, it seemed causal and not suspicious. But now, there seems to be more proof that history is repeating itself. According to People, Katy Perry and John Mayer went on a double with Allison Williams and her fiancé Ricky Van Veen on Saturday night. Here's what happened:

Perry and Williams met up first, spending much of the evening chatting and laughing on the back patio over two rounds of drinks. They were joined later by Van Veen and then Mayer, who arrived under a large brimmed hat and greeted Perry with a kiss. The two singers held hands at the table and continued the PDA when they left around 11:15 p.m., standing hand-in-hand in the lobby before heading out.

Hmmm, very interesting! A source told People that Perry is "focused on her career and making herself happy." I guess that means that Mayer makes her happy, so it makes sense that they're spending more time together. This has to mean that they're getting back together, right?

Not only did they go on a Satur-date (aka Saturday night date), but on Thursday the pair was also spotted together in West Hollywood. According to Page Six, they went to the Tower Bar and "proceeded to canoodle over dinner before astonished fellow diners." Any time someone uses the phrase "canoodle," it sounds a bit ridiculous and rumor-like. But two dates in one week? Seems like a sure sign that they're headed toward a romantic reunion.

We'll have to wait and see what happens next. But if these two do get back together, I'd like to see another music video. Ideally one that isn't as cheesy as "Who You Love." No offense, but they can do better than that!
