7 Reasons To Have Sex All Day Long, Because There's Nothing A Good Orgasm Can't Fix

As even the horniest ladies in the land know, finding someone that's DTF at the exact moment you are can prove a bit tricky. It can be particularly problematic for the hetero folk, since according to a recent Lovehoney survey, men prefer morning sex (ideally at 7:45 a.m., to be exact) while women prefer to drop their drawers in the evening hours, at 11:21pm. Although these time slots are just general accounting, the point is that men are more likely to get hot and bothered in the morning, while ladies like it at night.

Scientists call these problems "desire discrepancies" which is really a nice way to say: "you're never getting laid because your sex drives are like a game of telephone." Apparently, in one study, 80 percent of couples wanted sex at different times over a one month period, which boils down to a sad paucity of orgasms. So what's the solution? DO IT ALL DAMN DAY, or, you know, compromise. Once you get over the hurdle of initiation, it's usually easy to slip into the groove no matter what the clock says. There are plenty of benefits to having sex at various times throughout the day, so here's to pre-dawn sex, afternoon delight, and midnight hour magic.

7 a.m.: Early Morning Sex

Although some night owls may feel like death when the cock crows, morning sex can wake you up better than coffee, it can boost your immune system, and it can even make your skin look better because early morning orgasms raise your estrogen levels. Do you need any more reasons to literally start your day with a bang?

11 a.m.: Late Morning Sex

Maybe you're still in bed after lying around one weekend morning — or maybe 11 a.m. is your early morning if you work nights. Either way, late morning sex is always a triumph, because think of all the other suckers out there, in their cubicles, waiting in line for brunch, or running errands. And you? You're getting off.

1 p.m.: Early Afternoon Sex

Ah, afternoon delight. The best part about early afternoon sex is that you've conceivably had enough time to get showered, dressed, and put a cute outfit on just so you can take it off in time for a quickie. How much more productive will your day be with a post-lunch sex break? Research has also shown that the best orgasms for women happen between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., so there's that...

So you've hit a late afternoon slump. Do you take a nap, or do you power through and drink in some au naturale five-hour energy? You still have that orgasm quality bump that happens between 1 p.m. -and 5 p.m., and no manmade stimulant can beat the rush of feel-good chemicals that come with, um, coming.

6 p.m.: After Work Sex

I know that you were thinking about going to the gym, but sex has cardiovascular benefits too, and it's so much more fun than spin class (unless you have a hot instructor — then consider it foreplay).

8 p.m.: Evening Sex

Dinner time. The sexiest time of day. OK, not necessarily, but the connection between food and sex is undeniable. Saffron and honey are known aphrodisiacs, as are oysters, asparagus and yes, chocolate, which actually just boosts your seratonin levels. Being in a better mood usually makes for better sex, so there's no need to pass on dessert.

1 a.m.: Late Night Sex

The night time is the right time for the ladies, who are more lusty in the later hours, according to Lovehoney. But as most people can attest, pretty much everyone is DTF when it's dark and you've maybe watched a movie, seen a band play, or had a few drinks. And lucky you, because after your late night rendezvous, you can go to sleep and be up extra early to do it all over again.
