For those of us who rely on the stars for guidance, the last few weeks probably felt unusually intense thanks to the chaotic energy of the eclipse season and Mercury Retrograde. The June Full Strawberry Moon, aka the last supermoon of 2021, brings with it an optimistic vigor and a collective sigh of relief as it graces our sky on June 24. Now that we’ve overcome the challenges bestowed upon us by chaotic eclipse season, we can now take a moment to celebrate our win. And luckily for the select zodiac signs least affected by the June 2021 full moon, they won’t have an issue breezing by without casualties.
“Because this year's Strawberry Moon is happening late in the month, when the Sun is already in Cancer, it means it’s going to be in the opposite sign, in Capricorn,” Yana Yanovich, resident astrologer for the Nebula app, tells Bustle. Capricorns are notoriously known for their practicality and strong ambition, so the energy it illuminates during this full moon is sure to challenge the habitual patterns of some to work outside of their comfort zone in order to get the job done. This can look like expanding your network or being more practical with how much work you can take on at once. On the other hand, it can solidify the habitual patterns of others, who might thrive under pressure.
According to Yanovich, some zodiac signs will be least affected by June’s Strawberry Moon, because of where the sign is in relation to the Capricorn full moon. “Since this full moon is happening at three degrees Capricorn this year, its effects will be most felt by people who have some important placements in the early degrees of [these signs],” says Yanovich.
Curious to know whether your zodiac sign will breeze through these intense shifts? If your zodiac falls under these signs, you can expect this supermoon’s intense energy to affect you the least as it allows you to comfortably navigate its intensity.
Gemini Zodiac Signs (May 21-June 20)
There’s no other sign more adaptable and free-flowing than you, Gemini. Your ability to shapeshift is one of the reasons why this supermoon will seem more like a light jog than a sprint. You’re in no rush to adapt, either. After all, this is a marathon, not a race. You might find the eagerness to succeed at a million things at once isn’t really your style, so taking charge of your career and interpersonal relationships isn’t much of a challenge for you. However, Capricorn’s practicality can be especially grounding for you, as it empowers you to perceive your personal goals as serious and attainable rather than unrealistic, as air signs tend to dream.
Sagittarius Zodiac Signs (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Luckily for you, the moon will sextile Jupiter — the ruler of expansion and intellect and your ruling planet. Because of the position of these celestial bodies, this time might seem ordinary rather than unusually intense. In other words, this isn’t anything new to you, Sag! While you might not be challenged on the surface to adjust your work ethic or expand your network, Jupiter’s expansive energy can inspire you to bring shadow work to the forefront instead. If you’ve been prioritizing self-care, journaling, and other ways to ground yourself, it’s time now to enjoy the hard work you put forth in expanding your spirituality. You are a warrior (but you already knew that), and this supermoon will likely highlight your tenacity.
Aquarius Zodiac Signs (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Thinking outside of the box is your specialty, Aquarius, and this strength will prove to be your strong suit during the full moon. As the moon enters Capricorn, you might feel more grounded than usual, but that might be what you need in order to check off your to-do list. You tend to generalize your goals, but Capricorn’s seriousness can help you analyze each goal as its own individual milestone, so take advantage of its energy. Expanding your knowledge toward a new skill can be especially beneficial right now. As the moon sextiles Jupiter, it might be a good time to reflect on goals you might have deemed too comfortable and figure out new ways to make it an enriching experience.
