Less than 24 hours until Thanksgiving! I personally can't wait to stuff my face with delicious food and lounge around for the next few days. We're taking a few days off here at Bustle, so the Huddle will be back on Monday, Nov. 27.
I'm sure you're probably busy packing, traveling, or prepping for your Thanksgiving feast, so let's get right to it. Here's what Bustle editors are talking about today, Nov. 22:
Trump + LaVar Ball
The Twitter drama continues between the president and LaVar Ball, father of former UCLA freshman LiAngelo Ball. If you remember, this all started when LiAngelo Ball and several basketball teammates were arrested in China for shoplifting. The U.S. government intervened so the men wouldn't have to serve time in a Chinese prison. Now, Trump is demanding credit. Trumps' latest Twitter rant on the matter elicited several memes and tweets mocking him.
Must-Read: On Monday, the Trump administration announced that they're ending Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for nearly 60,000 Haitian immigrants. This powerful essay underscores how devastating the decision will be for those who have only a few months to get out of the country.
USA Gymnastics + Sexual Assault
By now you've probably seen the statements made by Aly Raisman and McKayla Maroney alleging that the USA Gymnastics team doctor, Larry Nassar, sexually assaulted them repeatedly. Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas has also come forward with her own allegations.
Today, Nassar plead guilty to sexually assaulting seven girls. There have been 130 people who have accused the doctor of inappropriate or sexually abusive behavior.
Celeb News: David Cassidy, known for his role in The Partridge Family, died on Tuesday, Nov. 21. Cassidy was 67 years old and had been hospitalized a few days earlier.
Chrissy Teigen + Haircut
Earlier this week, everyone's favorite model Chrissy Teigen took to Twitter to ask fans if she should get bangs or not. People shared their thoughts, and today Teigen revealed her gorgeous new haircut (and yes, she did get bangs!), courtesy of famed stylist Jen Atkins. Needless to say, I'm sure you'll love her new look.
Heartbreak: Jennifer Lawrence and Darren Aronofsky have broken up after a year of dating. Aronofsky directed Lawrence in Mother!.
Stranger Things + The Cutest Cast Ever
