Let me get right to the point: The evidence clearly suggests that Chrissy Teigen will attend the 2017 Academy Awards. Though unconfirmed, at this point it seems pretty impossible to think there's any chance that she wouldn't attend the Oscars. I mean, Teigen does award shows better than anyone. From her incredibly stunning red carpet looks, to her epic facial reactions (remember when the screenshots of her epic cry face became a hilarious worldwide meme?), to her behind-the-scenes Snapchat coverage, Teigen knows how to keep us fans entertained and interested in the award shows she's attending. (Bustle reached out to Teigen's rep to confirm whether she'll be attending, but did not yet receive a response.)
When it comes to the 2017 Academy Awards however, it seems highly likely that Teigen will attend for a number of reasons. First of all, E! News has confirmed that Teigen's husband John Legend will be performing both of the Oscar nominated songs from his hit film La La Land. And if Legend is going to be at the show, they it stands to reason that Teigen will also be in attendance. Not just because she's his wife, but because so far this award season she has been accompanying Legend to all of the ceremonies that he's been attending. The two attended the SAG Awards together, then the Golden Globes, and most recently Teigen and Legend practically owned the red carpet at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
Side note: How hilarious were Tiegen's post-Grammys videos?
God, I love this woman! She's smart, funny, and so down to earth that you could easily imagine running into her at a Chili's. Like, who in their right mind wouldn't want to be friends with her?
But back to the point... Teigen and Legend are pretty much award show royalty these days, so it would be shocking if she didn't show up at the Academy Awards. Like, how crazy would that be if Legend took the stage to perform and she wasn't in the audience cheering him on? All-in-all I think it's a pretty safe bet to say that Teigen and Legend will be in attendance at the 2017 Oscars, which air live on Sunday, Feb. 26, on ABC.
