What Bustle's Editors Are Talking About Today

by Melissa Mills

TGIF! It's been a week, amirite? Halloween's donezo (but I'm SO here for the leftover candy), Starbucks' holiday menu arrived, Beyoncé slayed at the CMAs, and the election is just four days away – hellooo November. You can officially close out of your Halloween makeup tutorials and start searching for quick & easy ways to style your blarf. It's the freaking weekend baby, we're about to have us some fun...

So grab your Gingerbread Latte, or any other Friday beverage of choice, and read on for the down low on everything Bustle's editors are talking about today and looking forward to this weekend.

Starbucks + Those Cups

Who knew a cup could cause so much drama? That's exactly what happened this week when Starbucks rolled out its new holiday menu, but with green cups instead of the usual red. People worried that their beloved red holiday cups were gone for good, but Starbucks cleared things up by letting fans know that the green cups represent "humanity and connection, serving as a symbol for bringing people together as a united community" – an especially important message right before this divisive election. Not to worry: Starbucks also confirmed today that its red cups will return on Nov. 10. Phew.

Fun Fact: Starbucks is also bringing back its BOGO deal to celebrate the 2016 return of the red cups. Holiday drinks will be buy one, get one free, but only from Thursday, Nov. 10 through Monday, Nov. 14, so you'll have to act fast!

SNL + The Election

From Cecily Strong’s Melania Trump (how could we forget that hilarious "Melanianade" skit) to Tina Fey's infamous Sarah Palin impression, we can always count on Saturday Night Live's election parodies to lighten the mood... but can it actually influence the election? Bustle looked at SNL episodes dating back to 1980, the public's perception of candidates at the time, and actual polling numbers to see just how much the show impacts politics IRL. The results are fascinating!

Set Your DVR: It was just announced that Dave Chappelle will host Saturday Night Live for the first time on Nov. 12, right after Election Day. *Counting down already.*

Gilmore Girls + Makeup

With less than a month to go (21 days to be exact, but who's counting?) until Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life hits Neflix, we've been blessed with Gilmore Girls-themed eyeshadow. With colors like "Hit By A Deer" and "A Film By Kirk", this makeup is a must for every GG superfan.

Seriously, this is even better than finding out that Rory might really end up with Jess or that Melissa McCarthy was officially coming back to play Sookie. Well, maybe not better... but the next best thing!

Fun Fact: Did you know that 339 books were referenced over the show's seven-season run? Add those to your TBR pile.

Shopping Break: Still on a high from the Chicago Cubs' World Series win? Then you've got to check out this cute fan gear. (Pssst: These would also make great holiday gifts!)

Kardashians + Cars

Ready to feel old? On Nov. 3, Kendall Jenner celebrated her 21st birthday and we can pretttty much guarantee that it's better than anything you did to ring in 21. Kendall looked stunning (obvi), celebrated with the fam (Kim & Kanye reportedly even made an appearance), oh, and she got a very lavish Rolls Royce as a gift and sort of forgot about it. NBD.

Kraving More Kendall & Kylie? (Sorry, had to do it.) The Jenner sisters' holiday 2016 PacSun collection is '90s-inspired and available right now. Check it out.

Today's WTF Moment: Don't forget to turn back your clocks before you go to bed on Saturday night, but be careful – Daylight Saving Time can actually eff up your body.

What To Watch This Weekend: These 16 movies on Netflix are *perfect* to watch before Election Day. Seriously, you deserve to turn off your brain and turn on your Wi-Fi.

Horoscope: Torn about whether or not to hit Happy Hour tonight? Here's your ~love~ horoscope for this weekend.
