Bustle's Editors On Ed Westwick + That Moschino Dress
More allegations against male celebrities. New offerings at Starbucks to spend your paycheck on. A Stranger Things video you'll want to watch on repeat. And, on top of all of that, it's Election Day (did you vote?!). It's been quite a Tuesday, to say the least. Read on below for all of this, plus everything else that had Bustle's editors talking today, Nov. 7:
Ed Westwick + Allegations
Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick has been accused of rape by actress Kristina Cohen. In an emotional Facebook post, Cohen alleged that Westwick raped her at his house three years ago. She wrote:
I was woken up abruptly by Ed on top of me, his fingers entering my body. I told him to stop, but he was strong. I fought him off as hard as I could but he grabbed my face in his hands, shaking me, telling me he wanted to f*ck me. I was paralyzed, terrified. I couldn’t speak, I could no longer move. He held me down and raped me.
On Tuesday morning Westwick addressed the claims in a tweet: "I do not know this woman. I have never forced myself in any manner, on any woman. I certainly have never committed rape."
Quote of the Day: "You’ve got to stand up and fight for what you believe in, even when everyone says it can’t be done" — Sen. Elizabeth Warren, on running for office.
Starbucks + Princi
Great news, Starbucks fans: everyone's favorite coffee chain is teaming up with Princi, a family-run Italian bakery in Milan. WTF does this actually mean? Well, over the next year or so as more Starbucks Roasteries — aka mega stores with small-batch coffee, master baristas, and tasting rooms — open up, customers will get a chance to enjoy baked goods from Princi as well.
While the original Roastery is currently open in Seattle, New York won't be getting one until 2018, and Chicago has to wait until 2019. Not to worry, standalone Princi locations will also be popping up across the U.S. next year, so you'll get your chance to sample all the delicious bread, pizza, and pastries your heart desires soon enough.
LOL: There's a petition for Kevin James to replace Kevin Spacey on House of Cards and OMG, yes.
Moschino + Dress
If you thought the double denim dress and thong jeans were weird AF, you better sit down for this: Moschino is selling a dress that looks like a dry cleaning bag. For — wait for it — a whopping $700. The item in question is officially called a "cape sheer overlay dress", but it seriously just looks like the plastic bag you pick up your laundry in. This might be the weirdest dress you'll ever see so, tell me, would you wear it??
Parenting Goals: This dad created a Diagon Alley replica in his driveway for Halloween, and every Harry Potter fan needs to see it.
Stranger Things + Mash-Up
Having Stranger Things withdrawal already? Same. Lucky for us, we have something to hold us over. Monday night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live featured a Stranger Things mash-up complete with '80s references and a cameo from the series' stars. If this mash-up doesn't give you a heavy dose of nostalgic feels, I don't know what will.
Umm... This might be the creepiest Dear David update yet. You've been warned.
Today's WTF Moment: People are convinced this dog’s ear cyst looks like Donald Trump. Yes, really.
What to Watch: Tuesday night = This Is Us on NBC. Get your tissues ready.
