Happy Thursday, everyone! The weekend is coming up soon, and thank goodness for that. I think we all deserve a solid break right now, with everything that's been happening and, you know, all of 2017 so far.
Before you really settle into your Friday mentality, though, check out a recap of everything that had Bustle's editors talking today, Thursday, Sept. 14:
DACA + Democrats
Late Wednesday night, it was reported that Trump had agreed to support DACA protections becoming law, and that he and top Democrats had come to an agreement on laws related to border security (but no, not that wall). Yet on Thursday, Trump denied striking the deal, adding that the wall will continue to be built. OK, Donald.
FYI: Here's what to know about the pro-Trump rally happening in D.C. this weekend. Be safe, everyone.
Selena Gomez + A Huge Reveal
Selena Gomez is one brave woman. On Thursday morning, Gomez revealed that she underwent a kidney transplant recently, due to conditions related to her lupus diagnosis. Thankfully, the singer is doing OK now, due to the kidney donation she received from her friend, actor Francia Raisa. Now that's seriously friendship goals.
OMG: Mandy Moore is engaged to musician Taylor Goldsmith. Congrats to the happy couple!
Harry Potter + Your Bedroom
Potterheads, you're gonna need these items ASAP. There's a new PB Teen Harry Potter collection featuring snitch alarm clocks, deathly hallows pillows, house-themed backpacks, and more. Your bedroom is about to look as cozy and magical as the Gryffindor dorms.
Shopping Break: These essential oils for acne are great for clearing up pimples, scarring, and preventing breakouts in the future.
STEM + Badass Women
As you might already know, there's a pretty huge gender gap in STEM (science, technology, engineering, & mathematics) fields. Women make up just 11 percent of executive positions at Silicon Valley companies, for instance, and don't get us started on the serious wage gap, too. Thankfully, these eight badass women in STEM are changing the game for the rest of us, by founding female-centric organizations and working to fix the industry's most pervasive gender-related issues.
Do Good: Here's how to help the biracial boy who was almost lynched earlier this month. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery, Quincy.
Lady Gaga + Her Health
Send your best wishes to Lady Gaga, who's in the hospital due to health complications and forced to cancel stops on her tour. In a recent tweet, Gaga revealed that she suffers from fibromyalgia, a painful condition that's caused her to miss concerts in the past in order to properly take care of her body. Get well soon, Gaga!
Game Break: This 2017 TV trivia will be tough on even the most diehard viewers.
Today's WTF Moment: A man refused to stop playing piano until his ex got back with him. Sounds like a real winner.
What to Watch: Tune in to FX at 10 for the Season 2 premiere of Better Things, the funniest show you're not watching.
Video of the Day: You gotta see Pink Boy, a documentary by Eric Rockey about a genderqueer child's life growing up in the Deep South.
