Bustle's Editors On Kendrick Lamar + The AHCA

by Melissa Mills

Happy Friday, fam! Has this been a week, or has this been a WEEK?! Today alone has been a doozy. We finally have an answer on that health care vote (wait for it...), had some relief with fun celebrity news (phew), and, yes, got a peek at some new styles to look forward to for spring. So, without further adieu, here's what Bustle's editors were talking about today, March 24:

AHCA + Paul Ryan

After an initial delay, House Republicans killed the American Health Care Act before it could be voted on due to lack of support. This is a major setback for Donald Trump, who promised to repeal and replace Obamacare during the election. Late Thursday night Trump gave Republicans an ultimatum to pass the AHCA or he'd leave Obamacare in place, so it's pretty unclear exactly what will happen to the Affordable Care Act or what Trump's next health-care move will be. All we know is that Paul Ryan is not a happy camper right about now.

WTF of the Day: Emma Thompson says that Donald Trump once asked her out. Thompson turned Trump down, but wishes she had agreed to a date. "Think of the stories!" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Chris Pratt + Body Shamers

As if you needed another reason to love Chris Pratt, the Parks and Rec star recently took to Instagram to slam body shamers in the best possible way. To rewind a bit, Pratt's Instagram post was a reaction to the negative comments he'd been getting from people calling him "skeletal." Pratt wrote on Instagram:

So many people have said I look too thin in my recent episodes of #WHATSMYSNACK Some have gone as far as to say I look "skeletal" Well, just because I am a male doesn't mean I'm impervious to your whispers. Body shaming hurts. So to prove my security in the way I look I'm posting a current selfie of me at what I consider a very healthy weight. 500lbs. Zero percent body fat. Totally JK guys. This is a T Rex skull. Nailed you so bad. Omg.

Pratt's message is a good (but unfortunate) reminder that body shaming can happen to men and women.

Cross Your Fingers: TMZ is reporting that Kris Kardashian pitched an animated Kardashian show. That's right — a cartoon based on the famous family. The news hasn't yet been confirmed... but it kind of makes sense?!

Kendrick Lamar + Disses

Kendrick Lamar released a new song called "The Heart Part 4" and it includes So. Many. Disses. No, seriously, the rapper straight up calls Donald Trump a "chump" in the song, but fans are also wondering if he's singing about Drake or Big Sean too. Either way, the lyrics are gold and the song is A+.

OH EM GEE: Cory Booker asked out Mindy Kaling on Twitter, she said yes, and the Internet is naturally freaking out. I totally 'ship it. <3

Karlie Kloss + Express

Supermodel — and, you know, computer coder in her spare time — Karlie Kloss has designed a capsule collection for Express. The collection, which will be available on March 30, will feature 17 different styles that you can wear hundreds of different ways. But that's not even the best part. The runway show to debut the pieces will feature real women, including — but not limited to — a computer engineer, a military service member, and fashion bloggers from different cultural backgrounds. Go Karlie!

Pucker Up: MAC just revamped their Lipglass and it's even better than you remember from the '00s. With a new formula and 57 (!!) new shades, this is probably going to be your go-to shiny gloss again.

What to Watch: All '90s kids have *got* to go see the Power Rangers reboot, out in theaters today. One more awesome reason to see it ASAP: it's challenging gender norms in the best way.

Weekend Plans: Still figuring out if you should have a low-key weekend or something a little more ~lit~? Let your zodiac sign be your guide.
