6 ‘Bachelor’ Couples Who Put A Ring On It In 2015

by Lindsey Kupfer

It’s been a good year for Bachelor couples engaged in 2015. Two-thirds of the couples from the various Bachelor shows this year are still engaged and still very much in love (I hope!). Plus, a couple of our former favorites also settled down and found their perfect someone. Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of The Bachelorette proved to be a success with her engagement to Shawn Booth, and Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert got engaged on Bachelor in Paradise . While I'm excited for Ben’s upcoming season of The Bachelor, first let's take a look back at all the happy moments for the couples of 2015. Can you believe it’s already over?

Between Chris Soules, Kaitlyn Bristowe, and all the people who headed to Paradise, there were lots of chances for people to find love this year. First, let's look at the relationships that didn’t end with an engagement. There was Bachelorette's Britt Nilsson and Brady Toops, who lasted only a few months. The hardest breakup to watch was Bachelor in Paradise's Carly Waddell and Kirk DeWindt. Ugh, it seemed so promising, and then he just broke her heart. Also, I'm pretty relieved that Joe Bailey and Samantha Steffen didn’t reconnect after Bachelor in Paradise.

But, enough of the non-engaged folks. Here are the six Bachelor couples who got engaged in 2015.

1. Chris Soules & Whitney Bischoff

The world had so much hope for “Prince Farming” and his love Whitney. The couple got engaged at the end of his season of The Bachelor, which technically was filmed in 2014, but no one else knew until 2015, so it definitely counts as this year. Unfortunately, this prince’s happy ending didn’t last forever. The couple split at the end of May this year, just a few weeks after his elimination from Dancing With The Stars. Poor Chris. One day he will find a girl happy to live in his very tiny town.

2. Jade Roper & Tanner Tolbert

This was hands down my favorite engagement of the year and these two found each other in the most unlikely of places: Paradise. Jade and Tanner got engaged on the season finale of Bachelor in Paradise. Most would have been skeptical of Tanner’s proposing after a few weeks, but as we’ve seen with Lacy and Marcus, BiP has a weird way of working out for couples. How do I get an invite to those nuptials?

3. Kaitlyn Bristowe & Shawn Booth

It was a rocky start for Shawn and Kaitlyn, but there was no denying that there was something between them from the moment they met. She may have slept with Nick Viall mid-season, but her heart belonged to Shawn and the couple got engaged at the end of the season. They are still together and if you follow either of them on Instagram, then you know they are quite obsessed with taking pics together and flaunting their relationship.

4. Ashley Salter & Austin Brannen

Her peculiar behavior may have been a turn off to Chris Soules, Nick Peterson, and Dan Cox, but her one true love was ready to put a ring on it. After leaving Bachelor in Paradise, Ashley Salter (you may remember her as the girl who confused a pomegranate for an onion) reunited with her college ex-boyfriend Austin Brannen and he popped the question a few months later in September.

5. Ali Fedotowsky & Kevin Manno

America’s favorite Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky found her prince charming, Kevin Manno, and announced their engagement in September. During her season of The Bachelorette in 2010, Fedotowsky got engaged to Roberto Martinez, but the two called it quits in 2011. After gettining engaged to Kevin, she announced the news via Instagram and wrote on her blog: "So excited to share that Kevin asked me to be his wife and I said YES!!! No actually, I screamed yes. Ha! He proposed yesterday and we had the most beautiful, magical day with our closest friends and can't wait to celebrate with family back home. Love, the future Mrs. Manno."

6. Sharleen Joynt & Andy Levine

Juan Pablo who? Sharleen Joynt, a former contestant that vied for Juan Pablo’s heart on Season 18 of The Bachelor, announced her engagement to Andy Levine in February. Like all the other couples, she announced it via Instagram with a photo of her kissing her soon-to-be husband and showing off her ring. "I've always been a skeptic when it came to love. I’ve often wondered if there was a better fit for me out there. I've doubted my choices and focused on the imperfections. I've rarely been certain. But I've never been more sure of anything in this world than I am of this love. Thank you, @machinelevine, for making me a believer. I love you,” she wrote.

So, yes, true love does exist.
