It's Monday! Today has been a busy news day, with a lot of new updates rolling in. The Alabama Senate race is still in the spotlight, Aly Raisman has something to say, and there's a new Barbie hitting shelves soon.

Mitch McConnell + Alabama Senate Race
Following assault allegations against Alabama's Republican Senate candidate Judge Roy Moore, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell called for Moore to back out of the race immediately. Other Republicans, including Sen. Lisa Murkowski and former presidential candidate Mitt Romney, have made similar statements.
Adding to that, another woman has spoken out against the former judge. Beverly Young Nelson says that Moore sexually assaulted her when she was 16 and he was in his 30s working as a DA in Alabama. This brings the total up to five women, four of which were cited in The Washington Post story that broke the news.
White House News: The Trump administration just nominated Alex Azar for Health and Human Services secretary. The position was previously held by Tom Price, who resigned after it was discovered he chartered private planes for domestic travel, costing taxpayers thousands.
Aly Raisman + Sexual Abuse
More and more people are speaking out about sexual misconduct and harassment. Today, Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman talked about the abuse she suffered at the hands of the former team doctor, Larry Nassar, on the Today show. In her interview, Raisman also criticized the USA Gymnastics organization for how they handled her complaints and vowed to use her platform for change, saying, "If I can help one person, then that’s totally what it’s all about."

Barbie + Ibtihaj Muhammad
There's a new Barbie on the market! The company will be releasing a new doll fashioned in the likeness of American Olympian, Ibtihaj Muhammad, who was the first women to wear a hijab while competing for the USA team. The new Barbie will also be wearing a hijab, marking a huge step in the brand's attempts at being more inclusive and representational.
