Bustle's Editors On 'The Bachelor' + Betsy DeVos

Hello, hello! This week may have been a short one thanks to Labor Day, but if you're feeling like it's never-ending, you're not alone. The weekend needs to be here ASAP, am I right?

But alas, we still have one more day to go before we can settle in with pumpkin spice lattes (more on those below) and comfy blankets, and there's lots of news to take in. Read on for a recap of everything that had Bustle's editors talking today, Thursday, Sept. 7:

Arie + The Bachelor

Are you ready for this, Bachelor Nation? It's been revealed that the next Bachelor will be Arie Luyendyk Jr., who was previously featured on Emily Maynard's season of The Bachelorette. If you heard his name and went, "Huh?", here's a refresher on who Arie is before the new season starts. Also, do yourself a favor and check out these memes and tweets about Arie being the Bachelor — they're so, so good.

But What About Peter?! He may not be the Bachelor, but relax: Peter Kraus is doing just fine.

Betsy DeVos + Title IX

On Thursday, Betsy DeVos, the secretary of education, gave a speech about Title IX, an Obama-era policy that guides colleges on how to handle sexual assault cases. DeVos announced that the Trump administration would be revamping the program, specifically in regards to how those accused of rape or assault are treated. Unsurprisingly, many people on Twitter are not pleased with DeVos' announcement, to say the least.

Kylie Cosmetics + A Huge Donation

This is pretty great: Kylie Jenner's company, Kylie Cosmetics, has raised $500,000 for Teen Cancer America. The charity works to improve the lives of kids and teens living with cancer, and the donation from Kylie Cosmetics, which came from sales of the limited edition 2017 Birthday Collection, will undoubtedly make a huge difference in the lives of many. Way to go, Kylie.
