Celebrity Style
Stars brought their sartorial A-game.

Awards season was largely virtual this year, but the Oscars 2021 red carpet is officially back, and so is the best part: the fashion. Billed as “an intimate, in-person event” this time around, Hollywood’s biggest night (aka the Oscars or the Academy Awards) is taking place Sunday at both Union Station in LA and the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.
While you’re streaming the Oscars red carpet from the comfort of your couch, stars like Carey Mulligan, Viola Davis, Steven Yeun, and Riz Ahmed, who are all up for Best Actress and Best Actor, respectively, will be stepping out in “Inspirational and Aspirational” attire (yes, those are the actual words to describe this year’s dress code, and no, casual is not encouraged).
With no host, no masks, no audience, and a “teeny-tiny red carpet,” tonight’s Academy Awards ceremony, which is now in its 93rd year, will certainly look a little different. Considering that you’ve been confined to Zoom for the past year and deprived of all the glitz, glamour, and sartorial magic a red carpet can bring, here’s hoping for some really amazing, rule-breaking looks this evening. Below, see all the best-dressed celebrities to hit the red carpet and the stage tonight.
