10 Times Chris Evans Was Too Good For This World

Let’s go back, back to the 2015 People’s Choice Awards.

When he’s not saving the universe as Captain America or playing a villain in a cable-knit sweater in Knives Out, Chris Evans also moonlights as one of the wittiest, most inspirational, and wholesome actors. Don’t believe us? Here are 10 moments from his career that prove it.

While filming 2017’s Gifted, Evans rescued his dog Dodger, and the two have been inseparable since. Evans often posts about the pup online, sharing their workouts, matching ensembles, and even cuddling while he reads his lines.

There’s nothing better than when Chris and his brother, Scott Evans, play “Know Your Bro” on The Tonight Show. The duo always ends up dishing out the worst — and most hilarious — stories from their childhood, like how Chris pranked Scott into peeing his pants.

But Evans’ hijinks with Jimmy Fallon don’t stop there. Joined by Chris Pratt, the trio pulled some outrageous expressions as they photobombed football fans on the NBC Super Bowl Red Carpet in 2015.

This list wouldn’t be complete without his chest grab. In fact, Evans’ gleeful grab of his pec whenever he finds something particularly funny is so commonplace that fans have created entire compilation videos about it.

He also loves to scare the daylights out of his friends. Not only did he hilariously spook Elizabeth Olsen on The Ellen Show in 2016, but he terrified Scarlett Johansson the year prior and loves to scare his brother, too.

Whoever said chivalry is dead obviously hasn’t met Chris Evans. In 2015, the respectful star channeled his inner Captain America when he offered Betty White his arm and helped her to the stage at the People’s Choice Awards.

If that wasn’t sweet enough, Evans’ love for everything Disney-related is next level. Not only is his favorite Disney film Robin Hood (a niche pick!), but he can name all of the seven dwarfs from Snow White and knows all of the lyrics from The Little Mermaid.

Ever since Lizzo drunkenly slid into Evans’ Instagram DMs, the rapper and the Avengers star have kept in touch. So much so that Lizzo jokingly confirmed that the two were expecting their first child together named “Little America.”

The mustache that spawned a million memes. While the actor’s facial hair and tattoos have always been heavily discussed online, the mustache he sported while performing in Broadway’s Lobby Hero will forever live on in our hearts.

Undoubtedly one of the most iconic moments in Avengers Endgame, Evans made audiences around the world burst into laughter when Captain America looked at his younger self and proudly remarked, “That is America’s ass.”
