Bustle's Editors On Hillary's Book + Those New iPhones

by Rachel Simon

Hello, hello! Today is a pretty crazy day in the news world, but for once, it's not because of Donald Trump. Instead, Hillary Clinton's book and Apple's new iPhones are the ones making headlines, and thank goodness for that, am I right?

For more info on Clinton's memoir and those new phones (plus lots else), read on for a recap of everything that had Bustle's editors talking today, Tuesday, Sept. 12:

Hillary Clinton + Her Memoir

On Tuesday, Hillary Clinton's highly-anticipated memoir, What Happened, was released. If you were thinking of holding off on reading, don't wait — the book is full of discussion-worthy reveals, from the heartbreaking details of Clinton's post-election phone call to Obama to the reasons she thinks she lost to the fact that there's apparently a painting of Bill Clinton playing with balloons hanging in the Clintons' home. Yup, really.

New iPhones + What To Know

It's finally time, you guys. Apple's iPhone 8 is here, and it's filled with features you'll want to check out ASAP, like an updated camera, waterproof design, and intense speakers. But that's not all; Apple also announced the iPhone X, which has a seriously cool OLED display and, most significantly, facial recognition. If you want to know more, here are all the differences between the iPhone 8 and iPhone X, laid out. (And, by the way, here's the scoop on that new one-stop charger.)

Heads Up: Here's what to know about the iPhone X's animoji feature, new emojis created by your own facial movements. Say what?!

Ted Cruz + Porn

Yes, you read that right. Twitter users went crazy on Tuesday morning after seeing that Senator Ted Cruz had liked a pornographic video from an account called SexuallPosts. Seeing as Cruz has publicly decried things like masturbation, people are having a lot of fun with this incident, and the memes and tweets about Cruz have been so, so good.

SO honored & SO excited," Rae tweeted on Tuesday. And for so many other self-proclaimed "awkward black girls" out there, Rae getting this honor is a seriously major deal.
