Katie Dupere is an associate fashion & beauty editor at Bustle who oversees the site’s fashion & beauty news team. The team covers day-to-day style, makeup, and skin care news including product launches, brand updates, celebrity style, and items that make an impact. For her own editorial work, Katie focuses on the intersection of identity and presentation, and how social justice movements interact with style and beauty. She has degrees in magazine journalism and women & gender studies from Syracuse University, with a minor in LGBTQ studies. Prior to her work with Bustle, Katie was a social good reporter at Mashable covering activism, identities, and social justice. Her writing has also appeared in HuffPost, PinkNews, and Gurl. She was a Shorty Social Good Award finalist for News & Media in 2016, along with the Mashable Social Good team.
