Truong, the celebrity manicurist behind some of Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian Barker’s most-loved looks, says to mix and match different shades of brown on each nail for an effortless, monochromatic mani.

A glossy neutral polish will create a barely-there, “your nails but better” vibe on your unique skin tone.

“Fall brings a lot of warmth back to the nail color palette,” explains McCullough, a celebrity manicurist who frequently works with Jennifer Coolidge, Olivia Rodrigo, and more. “Brick Knit is a color that is more orange than red, and really captures the feeling of fall. I used it on Florence Pugh in the film Oppenheimer.”

When it comes to the manicure trends on BeautyTok, “cherry mocha” nails are no doubt a top tier look that is defining the fall season. In short? It’s a playful way of describing rich burgundy polish with that cherry red undertone.

When it comes to trendy manicures, Ganzorigt says that she is always playing with magnetic nail polish colors.

She notes that texture by way of brown, green, rusted orange, and red magnetic hues will take over (like this galactic shade from Mooncat aptly named Illusionist).

Since countless A-listers including Hailey Bieber, Kylie Jenner, and more are still all about that soft glazed vibe, she believes that chromatic shades of pumpkin-inspired orange — like Halle Bailey’s most recent mani — will be a total fall 2023 staple.

Kandalec, who has worked with stars such as Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain, recommends painting your tips with “a chic wave of color” by way of rich, emerald-inspired shades of deep green this fall.

When in doubt, McCullough notes that you truly can’t go wrong with a bit of black nail polish as the shade is endlessly chic.

Olivia Rodrigo has proven to be a fan of the lacquer hue time and time again, not only wearing it on the 2023 VMAs red carpet, but opting for a chipped version of the hue on the cover of her sophomore album, GUTS.

While hot pink manicures are truly peak summer, with Margot Robbie’s Barbie hitting theaters in late summer, it’s safe to say that vivid shades of pink will continue to pop up throughout the autumn months in unexpected ways (like this chrome version or Selena Gomez’s recent bubblegum set, for example).

Similar to some of the on-trend pedicure hues for fall, deeper shades of red are sure to be everywhere for a gorgeous matching mani-pedi moment. Kandalec says that ruby-inspired shades represent “strong, feminine power.”

Kylie Jenner, for one, is in her red era. She recently shared her scarlet nails on TikTok, declaring in the caption that it’s “red szn.”

December is right around the corner, so you may want to pick up some sparkly nail polish colors and press-ons ASAP. According to Truong, a glittery tip is the perfect transition from fall to the major sparkle of the holiday season.

“Using a metallic chrome effect on top of deep colors, like dark blues and purples, is one of my favorite looks,” says Truong. As for her recommendation for fall? She says the gitti no. 304 shade is the perfect metallic blue nail polish color.

Alongside chocolatey brown (and even the ever-rising “latte makeup” trend that has A-listers obsessed), latte nails, too are being spotted everywhere this season.
